Terms of Service

Last updated 15 September 2026

These terms govern your use of Revision Aurora, operated by First Rite Studio Limited. By creating an account you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use the service.

Who this is for

Revision Aurora is for parents and guardians managing a child's 11+ exam revision. You must be at least 18 and able to enter a binding contract to create an account. You're responsible for the accuracy of the information you enter, including on your child's behalf, and for keeping your login credentials confidential.

The service

You upload a photo of a marked exam paper; we use AI to identify the questions marked wrong and suggest knowledge points; you confirm or correct those; we generate practice questions for your child to complete; you mark their answers. We track mastery per knowledge point based on that history.

AI-generated content (knowledge point suggestions, practice questions, answers and worked solutions) is produced automatically and may occasionally be incorrect, mismatched to the exam board's exact style, or otherwise imperfect. We don't guarantee its accuracy, and it isn't a substitute for a qualified tutor's judgement — please review it, especially before relying on a generated answer as definitively correct.

Plans and limits

The Free plan includes 5 uploads and 3 maths practice-question generations a month, with basic statistics. The Plus plan (£7.99/month or £59.99/year) includes up to 200 uploads a month, English practice, 5 questions with worked steps, trend analysis, PDF export and printable worksheets. These monthly limits apply per account, shared across every child profile on it, regardless of how many children you've added.

The 200-upload figure on Plus is a soft ceiling set to keep our underlying AI costs predictable; ordinary use by a family comes nowhere near it.

Payment, billing and cancellation

Plus subscriptions are billed in advance, monthly or yearly, and renew automatically until cancelled. Payments are processed by Stripe; we don't store your card details.

You can cancel any time from Settings → Manage (Stripe's billing portal). Cancelling stops future renewal but doesn't refund the current period — you keep Plus access until the period you've already paid for ends.

Because Plus gives you immediate access to paid features as soon as checkout completes, by subscribing you agree that we begin supplying the service immediately and acknowledge that this means you lose the 14-day cooling-off right you'd otherwise have under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, once that access has begun. Refunds outside of this are considered case by case — email us if something's gone wrong.

Deleting your account

You can permanently delete your account at any time from Settings. This cancels any active subscription, removes your uploaded photos, and deletes every record tied to your account — it cannot be undone, so we suggest downloading a copy of your data first if you might want it later (the delete flow offers this).

Acceptable use

Don't use Revision Aurora to upload content that isn't a genuine exam paper belonging to your own child, attempt to circumvent plan limits (e.g. by creating multiple free accounts to avoid the upload cap), interfere with the service's operation, or use it in any way that infringes someone else's rights. We may suspend or terminate an account that breaches this.

Your content

You keep ownership of the photos and content you upload. You grant us a limited licence to use, store and process it (including sending it to our AI provider) solely to provide the service to you. We don't use your content for any other purpose, including AI model training on our side.

Liability

The service is provided as-is. To the extent permitted by law, our total liability to you arising from these terms or your use of the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. We're not liable for indirect or consequential losses. Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else the law doesn't allow us to limit.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time; the date at the top will change when we do. If a change is material, we'll flag it in the app.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer-protection rights you have in your place of residence.
